Accountant

About the role

Abu Khader Automotive is seeking a detail‑oriented Accountant to join its Finance team. The role involves handling intermediate accounting functions across the general ledger and financial reporting, ensuring compliance with company policies and regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and post journal entries, including cash, accruals, consolidation and elimination.
• Support the Chief Accountant in monthly financial statements and quarterly cash‑flow forecasts.
• Drive month‑end, quarter‑end and year‑end close processes.
• Perform daily bank reconciliations and monthly GL, vendor and insurance reconciliations.
• Manage bank guarantees, letters of credit and related documentation.
• Audit daily cash reports, bank wires and cheques, coordinating with cashiers.
• Handle customer cheques, promissory notes, invoice payments and delinquent accounts.
• Assist with payroll verification, staff loan limits and payroll deductions.
• Finalize tax reports, monitor taxation issues and generate expense reports.
• Audit branch expenditures and conduct year‑end audits of branch balances.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field.
• Minimum of 1 year relevant accounting experience.
• Knowledge of labour law, financial regulations and legislation.
• Excellent written and spoken English and Arabic.

Required skills

• Proficiency in MS Office.
• Advanced Excel skills.
