Accounting Officer

About the role

The Accounting Officer will support CFI Financial Group’s finance function by accurately recording transactions, maintaining accounting records and assisting in the preparation of financial reports. This role ensures compliance with internal controls and accounting standards while contributing to efficient financial operations.

Key responsibilities

• Record daily financial transactions in the accounting system.
• Reconcile bank statements and resolve any discrepancies.
• Monitor intercompany transactions and balances, ensuring proper recording and reconciliation.
• Review monthly depreciation entries and maintain the asset register.
• Prepare accruals and prepayments to ensure correct period recognition.
• Support timely accounts payable reconciliations and entries.
• Maintain organized and up‑to‑date financial records and documentation.
• Assist in month‑end and year‑end closing processes.
• Collaborate with internal and external auditors, providing required documentation and explanations.
• Ensure accounting treatment aligns with IFRS and company policies.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field.
• 1–2 years of experience in an accounting role.
• Strong understanding of IFRS and other accounting standards.
• Experience working with ERP systems.
• Knowledge of applicable tax regulations and financial compliance.
• High level of accuracy, professionalism and attention to detail.
