Accounting Team Lead

About the role

We are looking for a strategic, people‑first Accounting Team Lead to drive finance operations at Aumet, a tech‑driven healthcare supply‑chain platform operating across the MENA region. The role combines full‑cycle accounting, multi‑entity reporting under IFRS, ERP optimisation and leadership of a high‑performing finance team.

Key responsibilities

• Lead, mentor and develop a team of accountants, set KPIs, manage workload distribution and drive professional growth.
• Own the global month‑end, quarter‑end and year‑end closing cycle, review journal entries, accruals, intercompany settlements and ensure compliance with IFRS and local regulations.
• Oversee consolidation of multi‑entity financial statements and provide strategic financial analysis for senior leadership.
• Act as finance lead for SAP Business One and API‑driven platform integrations, identify workflow gaps and spearhead automation projects to improve data integrity.
• Maintain a robust internal control environment, lead internal and external audit processes and ensure adherence to company policies.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA, CMA or ACCA certification highly preferred.
• 6+ years of progressive accounting experience with at least 2‑3 years in a supervisory or managerial role.
• Strong knowledge of IFRS, multi‑entity consolidation and complex intercompany accounting.
• Proven hands‑on experience with modern ERP systems, preferably SAP Business One, in high‑volume, API‑driven environments.
