Accounts Payable Trainee

About the role

Hikma Pharmaceuticals is seeking an Accounts Payable Trainee to support its finance team in Amman. This entry‑level position offers hands‑on experience with month‑end close, journal entries, and financial reporting within a leading pharmaceutical company.

Key responsibilities

• Follow departmental policies, procedures and SOPs to ensure consistent work execution.
• Coordinate with internal functions to verify period‑related expenses, accruals, pre‑payments and other balances.
• Assist in month‑end close activities, including preparing and posting journal entries.
• Prepare monthly balance‑sheet reconciliations under supervision for timely management review.
• Support analysis of financial information, identifying variances, trends and irregularities.
• Help compile quarterly and year‑end disclosures for management.
• Provide assistance to internal and external auditors during audit processes.
• Collaborate with other finance team members to produce accurate financial reports.
• Contribute to continuous‑improvement initiatives, focusing on best practices, cost reduction and productivity.

Required profile

• Recent graduate or current student in Finance, Accounting or related field.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow established procedures.
• Good analytical mindset with interest in financial reporting.
• Effective communication skills and willingness to collaborate across functions.
