Accounts Receivable Accountant

About the role

The Accounts Receivable Accountant will oversee all incoming payments, maintain accurate receivable records, and lead a team of AR professionals. The role ensures timely invoicing, monitors aging reports, and collaborates with sales and operations to optimise cash flow and minimise bad debt risk.

Key responsibilities

• Manage day‑to‑day AR functions, including ledger maintenance, invoicing and collections.
• Lead, mentor and set KPIs for the AR team to ensure high efficiency.
• Monitor aging reports, follow up overdue accounts and resolve billing disputes.
• Work with Sales and Operations to address billing discrepancies and customer queries.
• Analyse cash‑flow processes, improve receivables turnover and implement credit policies.
• Review and approve customer credit limits in line with company policy.
• Prepare AR reports for senior management, covering aging, collections and bad‑debt provisions.
• Support month‑end and year‑end closing for accurate financial reporting.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or related field.
• 3–5 years of experience in accounts receivable, finance or credit management.
• Strong understanding of AR processes and cash‑flow management.
• Proven ability to lead a team and achieve results in a fast‑paced environment.
• Excellent analytical, problem‑solving and communication skills.
