Acoustics Engineer – Engineer to Principal Level

About the role

WSP Middle East is looking for a highly experienced Acoustics Engineer to join its Amman office. The role will support a diverse portfolio of projects across the Middle East, delivering acoustic solutions for built environment, transportation, aviation, hospitality, data centre and master‑planning sectors.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and deliver acoustic consultancy services on projects throughout the Middle East.
• Provide technical leadership in environmental, architectural, building and transportation acoustics.
• Conduct noise and vibration assessments, acoustic modelling and design reviews.
• Develop acoustic strategies and recommendations aligned with project requirements and international standards.
• Manage project deliverables, budgets and schedules while ensuring high‑quality technical outputs.
• Collaborate with architects, planners, engineers and project managers in multidisciplinary teams.
• Support business development activities, including proposal preparation and client presentations.
• Mentor junior engineers and contribute to the growth of WSP’s Acoustics practice in the region.

Required profile

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Acoustics, Engineering, Physics, Architectural Engineering or a related discipline.
• 10‑15 years of relevant acoustic consultancy experience, preferably across the Middle East.
• Demonstrated ability to manage client relationships and lead technical project delivery.
• Chartered status or membership with a relevant professional institution is highly desirable.

Required skills

• Noise assessment and vibration analysis.
• Acoustic modelling and use of industry‑standard acoustic modelling software.
• Strong technical expertise in acoustic design principles.
