Aluminum & Facade Technical Engineer

About the role

ASCO Aluminum is looking for a Facade Technical Engineer to lead the design, engineering and coordination of aluminium and glass façade systems for projects across Saudi Arabia. The role combines detailed design work, technical assessment and on‑site support to ensure high‑quality delivery of curtain walls, windows, doors, cladding, skylights and frameless partitions.

Key responsibilities

• Develop detailed façade designs, shop drawings and fabrication drawings in line with project specifications and standards.
• Perform structural and thermal assessments of façade systems and propose value‑engineering solutions.
• Prepare material take‑offs, bills of quantities and technical submittals.
• Coordinate with architects, consultants, contractors and internal teams to resolve technical issues.
• Review IFC drawings, raise RFIs and ensure design intent is maintained throughout execution.
• Support procurement with technical evaluations and approvals of systems, accessories and finishes.
• Provide on‑site technical support during installation, testing and commissioning, handling NCRs and corrective actions.
• Maintain accurate documentation, revision control and as‑built records.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil, Architectural or Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
• Strong proficiency in AutoCAD; knowledge of Revit, Rhino/Grasshopper or Tekla is a plus.
• Experience with façade analysis tools and familiarity with structural and thermal design principles.
• Good knowledge of aluminium façade systems, curtain wall components, glazing types, sealants and accessories.
• Experience producing shop/fabrication drawings and coordinating with manufacturing (CNC) and site teams.
• Excellent communication, coordination and problem‑solving abilities.
• Proficiency in English; Arabic is an advantage.
