Analyst, Internal Controls & Assurance

About the role

The Internal Controls & Assurance team is looking for a proactive Analyst to support the Group’s financial assurance cycle. You will work closely with the Associate Director and supervisors to test controls, prepare reports, and ensure compliance with internal policies and external regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Perform risk assessments and test the effectiveness of processes and controls across the Group.
• Prepare Internal Controls & Assurance (IC&A) reports summarising testing results and key findings.
• Conduct follow‑up testing on previously reported audit findings to verify remediation.
• Maintain the testing management system, ensuring documentation is accurate and well‑structured.
• Assist in validating newly implemented systems for control effectiveness and compliance.
• Utilise process‑mining and data‑analytics tools to support governance objectives.
• Support testing of the Fraud Prevention & Detection Framework.
• Provide ad‑hoc support on IC&A initiatives and projects.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance or a related field.
• 2+ years of experience in external or internal audit.
• Strong understanding of internal controls (ICFR) and IFRS/IAS/GAAP standards.
• Preferred certifications: CIA, CPA, MBA or Data Analytics certification.

• Advanced Excel, Word and Visio proficiency.
• Data analytics, process mining and data‑mining techniques.
• Continuous control monitoring tools.
• Control testing and preparation of high‑quality working papers.
