Application Developer

About the role

RS2 is seeking an Application Developer to join its Technical Unit, reporting to the Senior Software Development Manager. You will design, develop, and maintain high‑quality software solutions for Tier 1 financial institutions worldwide.

Key responsibilities

• Collaborate with Business Analysts, Project Managers and cross‑functional teams to translate client requirements into robust applications.
• Participate in the full software development lifecycle: design, coding, testing, deployment and maintenance.
• Implement micro‑services architectures and ensure seamless integration with existing systems.
• Stay current with emerging web technologies and programming language trends.
• Own assigned tasks, delivering on time with high quality, both independently and within diverse teams.

Required profile

• Degree in ICT or related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Strong organizational and time‑management abilities.
• Excellent written and spoken English communication skills.
• Commitment to high coding standards and thorough unit testing.

Required skills

• Version control and build tools: Git, Maven, Jenkins.
• Data formats: XML, JSON, JQuery.
• Micro‑services design and implementation.
• Core development: Java, Spring, RESTful web services.
• Front‑end: JavaScript ES6+, HTML5, Bootstrap, CSS, Vue.js (or similar).
• User Experience analysis and design principles.
• Agile development methodologies.
• Browser‑specific issue troubleshooting.
• Database management, preferably Oracle.
