Assistant Director of Style

About the role

We are seeking an Assistant Director of Style to oversee daily shift operations of Housekeeping, Recreation/Health Club and Laundry (where applicable) at our hotel in Amman. The role ensures guest rooms, public areas and employee zones are clean, well‑maintained and meet the property’s standards while supporting guest and employee satisfaction.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise daily housekeeping shift activities, ensuring compliance with policies, standards and procedures.
• Conduct daily inspections of guest rooms and public spaces, communicate room status to the Front Desk, and assign cleaning tasks.
• Manage inventory of supplies, verify adequate stock, and ensure staff have necessary equipment and uniforms.
• Monitor and control departmental budgets, aiming to meet or exceed financial targets.
• Train new room attendants, schedule staff according to business demand, and track attendance.
• Apply fair and consistent HR policies, handle disciplinary actions, and support employee recognition programs.
• Participate in departmental meetings and communicate goals clearly to the team.

Required profile

• High school diploma or GED with at least 2 years of housekeeping or related experience, OR a 2‑year degree in Hotel & Restaurant Management, Hospitality, Business Administration or a related field.
• Strong understanding of housekeeping operations, budgeting and guest‑service standards.
• Ability to lead, train and motivate a diverse team.
