Associate Digital Marketing Officer

About the role

The United Nations Relief and Works Agency is seeking an Associate Digital Marketing Officer to support its global digital fundraising strategy. The role focuses on expanding the individual donor base and securing stable income for UNRWA’s humanitarian programmes. You will report to the Donor Engagement Officer.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement an Individual Giving content strategy using storytelling, fundraising campaigns, and emergency appeals.
• Plan and coordinate fundraising content across email, paid media, social media, video and website channels, guided by performance data and audience insights.
• Create high‑quality donor‑facing materials, including copy, digital ads, social posts, banners and other assets.
• Collaborate with the Digital Analyst to translate campaign performance into content improvements.
• Supervise the Content team, provide day‑to‑day guidance, quality assurance and performance feedback.
• Coordinate with creative agencies, internal teams and field staff, preparing briefs and reviewing deliverables.

Required profile

• Advanced university degree (Master) in communication, marketing, business administration, social sciences or related field, or equivalent combination of degree and experience.
• Minimum two years of experience in digital fundraising or content creation, preferably focused on acquisition campaigns.
• Experience working in an international environment outside the candidate’s country of citizenship.
• Strong English writing and editing abilities; Arabic knowledge is desirable.

Required skills

• Solid understanding of web metrics and digital analytics.
• Proficiency in creating and managing digital advertising, social media content and email marketing campaigns.
