Associate - External Audit (Jordanian Resources Center)

About the role

Deloitte is hiring an Associate in its Audit & Assurance practice, working on the Jordanian Resources Center (JRC) external audit for fiscal year 2027. The role is based in Amman, Jordan, with work focused on the UAE or KSA markets, and travel to those countries when needed.

Key responsibilities

• Build trust with stakeholders by understanding their service level expectations
• Deliver high-quality services with awareness of regulation and risk management impacts on business processes and controls
• Understand key statistics and industry matters about the entity before the engagement begins
• Adapt template referral instructions to define the scope of procedures and audit focus, and liaise with onshore and offshore centres of excellence
• Assist in tracking deliverables from component auditors and link risks, controls, procedures and findings across the audit file
• Articulate audit quality milestones and prepare documentation in anticipation of reviewer questions
• Develop relationships beyond the finance function and apply professional scepticism
• Be aware of engagement lifecycle risks, regulatory environment and practice protection policies
• Demonstrate practical exposure to AI tools, with sound judgement on confidentiality, data handling and ethics

Required profile

• Degree in Accounting or a related field; graduate degree desired
• International accounting qualification desired: CA, ACCA or CPA, preferably CA
• Fluent English (reading, speaking and writing); bilingual Arabic/English preferred
• Strong digital mindset, willingness to learn and apply firm-approved tools, and good communication and relationship-building skills
