Attendant – Loss Prevention

About the role

The Attendant – Loss Prevention is responsible for safeguarding guests, employees and company assets at a Marriott property in Jordan. You will investigate incidents, handle complaints and ensure a safe, welcoming environment for all visitors.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct investigations, gather evidence and interview parties related to theft, fraud, noise, assault, food‑poisoning and other guest complaints.
• Notify managers, supervisors, local police or other authorities when accidents, attacks or security incidents occur.
• Complete detailed incident reports for thefts, accidents, physical hazards and fire alarms.
• Handle business interruptions such as suspicious individuals, civil disturbances, intoxicated guests and noise complaints, and escort unwelcome persons when necessary.
• Defuse guest or employee altercations, summon appropriate authorities if required, and document all actions.

Required profile

• High school diploma or GED equivalent.
• No prior related work experience or supervisory experience required.
• Ability to work full‑time in a fast‑paced hospitality environment.
• Physical capability to stand, walk, lift up to 50 lb unassisted and up to 75 lb with assistance.

Required skills

• Proficiency in using computers and point‑of‑sale (POS) systems to enter and retrieve work‑related information.
• Ability to read, visually verify and inspect information, tools or equipment in various formats.
