Audit & Assurance Associate – External Audit (Jordan)

About the role

Deloitte, a leading global professional services firm, is seeking an Audit & Assurance Associate to join its External Audit team in Jordan. You will work on diverse client engagements, applying rigorous audit standards while developing a deep understanding of business processes and regulatory environments.

Key responsibilities

• Build trust with stakeholders by understanding service expectations and delivering high‑quality audit services.
• Adapt referral instructions, define audit scope, and coordinate with on‑shore and off‑shore Centres of Excellence.
• Track deliverables from component auditors, linking risks, controls, procedures, and findings across the audit file.
• Prepare documentation that anticipates reviewer questions and clearly separates accounting judgments from audit judgments.
• Develop relationships beyond the finance function to apply professional scepticism and understand the client’s business.
• Understand audit plan timings and challenge opportunities for earlier work execution.

Required profile

• Degree in Accounting or a related field; graduate degree is a plus.
• 0–1 year of experience in public auditing, preferably with a Big Four firm.
• International accounting qualification desired (CA, ACCA, CPA); CA preferred.
• Fluent in English (reading, speaking, writing); bilingual Arabic/English candidates preferred.
