Back End LSM Mechanic

About the role

The Back End LSM Mechanic is responsible for maintaining, repairing, and troubleshooting LSM equipment and associated machinery in the back‑end production process, ensuring optimal performance and minimal downtime.

Key responsibilities

• Perform routine preventive maintenance on LSM machines and verify component functionality.
• Diagnose and resolve mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic faults, identifying root causes.
• Execute repairs, overhauls, and part replacements such as motors, gears, bearings, sensors, and control systems.
• Conduct regular inspections to detect early signs of wear and prevent breakdowns.
• Collaborate with production operators and maintenance staff to optimise machine settings and improve efficiency.
• Maintain accurate maintenance logs, including repairs performed, parts used, and performance data.
• Assist with installation, commissioning, and upgrades of new LSM equipment.
• Participate in continuous‑improvement projects aimed at increasing reliability and reducing maintenance costs.

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent; technical diploma or certification in mechanical, electrical, or industrial maintenance preferred.
• 1–2 years of experience as a maintenance mechanic on high‑speed industrial machinery.
• Strong understanding of mechanical systems, hydraulics, pneumatics, and basic electrical circuits.
• Ability to read technical manuals, schematics, and blueprints.
• Willingness to work shifts, weekends, and holidays as required.
• Physical ability to lift heavy objects and work in varied environmental conditions.
