Backend Application Support Engineer (Python)

About the role

We are hiring a talented Back‑end App Support (Python) professional to join CFI Financial Group, an award‑winning trading provider with offices worldwide.

Key responsibilities

• Provide support for backend systems, ensuring high availability, stability, and timely issue resolution.
• Troubleshoot, investigate, and resolve backend issues in collaboration with development and infrastructure teams.
• Collaborate with team members and stakeholders in developing features and new products.
• Develop solutions according to specified business requirements and write technical specifications.
• Demonstrate and present implementations to team leaders, heads, and the CTO.
• Implement unit and integration tests and ensure software meets quality, security, modifiability, and extensibility standards.
• Participate in code reviews, identifying anti‑patterns and refactoring opportunities.
• Perform other duties as deemed necessary by superiors.

Required profile

• BSc in Computer Science or related field.
• Strong knowledge of Python for backend troubleshooting and support.
• Experience with SQL and NoSQL databases.
• Solid understanding of software and application architecture, especially microservices and service‑oriented architecture (SOA).
• Experience with Git, Jenkins, and CI/CD processes.
• Understanding of web security standards and best practices.
• Good‑to‑have knowledge of PHP.
• Familiarity with RabbitMQ, Kafka, or similar messaging systems.
• Exposure to containerisation and orchestration tools (Docker, Kubernetes, Terraform, Helm).
• Experience implementing unit and integration tests.
• Technical mindset with strong attention to detail and problem‑solving skills.
