Banking Application Support Manager

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Applications Support Manager to lead the support and operations of our core banking and enterprise applications. The role ensures high system availability, efficient incident resolution, and seamless coordination across business, development teams, and external vendors in a regulated banking environment.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and manage the applications support team, ensuring adherence to SLAs, KPIs, and regulatory requirements.
• Oversee application deployment, configuration, and release management across all environments.
• Provide and supervise L2/L3 support, ensuring timely troubleshooting, root‑cause analysis, and escalation.
• Manage batch processing and guarantee successful execution of end‑of‑day and critical banking cycles.
• Maintain containerised environments (Docker, Kubernetes) to ensure stability, scalability and performance.
• Act as the primary point of contact for business stakeholders on incidents, service requests and system issues.
• Coordinate with in‑house development teams and external vendors for issue resolution, enhancements and releases.
• Drive incident, problem and change management aligned with ITIL practices.
• Ensure proper documentation, monitoring and continuous improvement of support processes.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT or a related field.
• 10+ years of experience in application support with proven team‑leadership experience.
• Strong background in banking systems such as core banking, payments and digital channels.
• Experience working in regulated environments with high‑availability requirements.
