Business Intelligence Section Head

About the role

The Business Intelligence Section Head will lead the BI function, delivering reliable, actionable insights that support strategic and operational decisions across a pharmaceutical manufacturing organization. This senior role bridges business stakeholders and technology teams to turn data into intelligence that drives performance, efficiency, and growth.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute a Business Intelligence roadmap aligned with corporate strategy and digital transformation goals.
• Translate business requirements into analytical solutions, dashboards, KPIs, and executive reporting frameworks.
• Lead the design, enhancement, and optimisation of the enterprise data‑warehouse architecture and analytical data models.
• Ensure seamless integration of ERP, CRM, manufacturing, quality, supply‑chain and commercial data sources.
• Oversee ETL processes and data pipelines to guarantee data availability and integrity.
• Establish and maintain enterprise dashboards, performance scorecards and automated reporting processes.
• Define and enforce data‑governance standards, quality controls, security and regulatory compliance.
• Partner with department heads to identify analytical needs, communicate insights and act as the primary BI advisor.

Required profile

• Proven experience leading a Business Intelligence function in a complex, regulated environment.
• Strong understanding of pharmaceutical manufacturing data domains (ERP, CRM, quality, supply‑chain).
• Ability to align BI initiatives with strategic objectives and digital transformation efforts.
• Experience establishing data‑governance, quality and compliance frameworks.
