Charging & Billing Officer / Senior Officer

About the role

The Charging & Billing Officer is responsible for the end‑to‑end operation, maintenance and administration of retail and wholesale charging and billing platforms. The role ensures high availability, performance and regulatory compliance while driving automation and AI/ML improvements.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain offer management processes and perform periodic bill runs with pre‑ and post‑checks.
• Investigate and resolve customer complaints, CRM tickets and workflow issues using LLM/NLP triage and automated responses.
• Conduct routine health checks, alarm monitoring and 24x7 operational activities, including ML‑based anomaly detection.
• Define and implement rate plans for various customer segments and coordinate system operations, hot‑fixes, patches and upgrades.
• Generate daily performance reports, KPI dashboards and real‑time alerts for bill runs, settlements and SLA compliance.
• Analyze data pipelines, MLOps metrics and detect fraud or RA discrepancies, preparing audit evidence.
• Participate in a 24/7 call‑out rotation.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering, Telecommunication Engineering, Computer Science, Software Engineering or related field.
• 2‑5 years experience in charging and billing within telecommunications, with exposure to data, ML and automation.
• Professional Scrum Master I certification (PSM I) preferred.

Required skills

• Experience with Converged Billing System, Settlements System, CRM and Monitoring/Alerting tools.
• Knowledge of AI/ML, LLM/NLP, MLOps, RPA and automation pipelines.
• Familiarity with Rational System, Big Data and Spark.
