Chief Accountant

About the role

Harmony Investment Company seeks an experienced Chief Accountant to lead the Finance team in Amman. The role involves overseeing day‑to‑day accounting across the Group’s entities, ensuring accurate financial reporting, and maintaining strong internal controls.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and supervise accounting operations for multiple Group companies.
• Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in line with IFRS.
• Manage period‑end closing activities and ensure timely completion.
• Oversee bank reconciliations, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and treasury functions.
• Ensure compliance with Jordanian tax and Social Security regulations.
• Coordinate external audits and keep audit‑ready records.
• Review and improve accounting processes and internal controls.
• Support budgeting, forecasting, cash‑flow monitoring, and financial analysis.
• Maintain ERP/accounting system data integrity.
• Lead, mentor, and develop the accounting team.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field.
• 10+ years of progressive accounting experience, including senior or chief accountant roles.
• Strong knowledge of IFRS, taxation, treasury, and internal controls.
• Proven leadership, analytical, and communication abilities.
• Professional proficiency in English and Arabic.
