Chief Accountant

About the role

The Chief Accountant will act as a Finance Business Partner, overseeing all accounting operations for a global executive search and recruiting company in Amman, Jordan. This full‑time, on‑site position involves preparing financial statements, ensuring compliance, and coordinating external audits.

Key responsibilities

• Manage general ledger, accounts payable/receivable, payroll and monthly/quarterly/annual financial reporting.
• Lead the accounting team, implement internal controls, monitor cash flow and support budgeting and forecasting.
• Optimize accounting processes, maintain accurate records and collaborate with other departments for timely financial information.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting/Finance; CPA, CMA or JCPA preferred.
• 7–10 years of experience, at least 3 years in a senior finance role in Jordan.
• Hands‑on ability to run month‑end closing, cash flow management and reporting without a large support team.

Required skills

• Strong knowledge of Jordanian tax, social security and statutory reporting requirements.
• Proficiency in Dynamics ERP and advanced Excel.
• Fluency in Arabic and English.
