Cloud & Security Engineer (GCP/Kubernetes)

About the role

iDoc is seeking an experienced Cloud / Security Engineer to design, build, secure, and manage the cloud infrastructure that powers its telemedicine platform. The role works closely with Backend, Flutter, QA, and Product teams to ensure a scalable, reliable, and cost‑efficient cloud environment.

Key responsibilities

• Design, implement, and manage cloud infrastructure on Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
• Build scalable, secure, and highly available architectures.
• Manage Google Kubernetes Engine (GKE) clusters and containerized applications.
• Implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines and deployment strategies.
• Automate infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code (Terraform or similar).
• Monitor cloud infrastructure, system performance, and application health.
• Optimize resources for performance, scalability, and cost efficiency.
• Implement disaster recovery and high‑availability strategies.
• Apply cloud security best practices, including IAM, networking, encryption, and compliance.
• Configure and manage networking components such as VPCs, load balancers, firewalls, and VPNs.
• Troubleshoot infrastructure and production issues while continuously improving platform reliability.

Required profile

• 5–8+ years of experience in Cloud Engineering, Cloud Infrastructure, or Cloud Security.
• Strong hands‑on experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
• Experience managing GKE and containerized workloads.
• Proficiency with Docker.
• Experience building CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, or similar).
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform or similar).
• Strong understanding of cloud networking (VPCs, load balancers, firewalls, VPNs).
• Solid Linux administration skills.
• Experience with cloud monitoring, logging, and observability tools.
