Commercial Associate Manager – Retail Category Management

About the role

The Commercial Associate Manager supports sourcing, merchandising, assortment planning and sales development for assigned categories within MAF Retail. The role focuses on demand forecasting, supplier management, inventory optimisation and promotional planning to ensure product availability and profitability across stores.

Key responsibilities

• Support sourcing and supplier negotiations for category assortment.
• Develop and maintain demand forecasts, inventory plans and promotional calendars.
• Analyse sales, margin and stock data to drive commercial performance.
• Collaborate with Operations, Supply Chain, Replenishment, Logistics and Marketing teams.
• Monitor category performance, pricing strategies and promotional effectiveness.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Supply Chain, Economics or related field.
• 3‑5 years of experience in commercial, category management, buying or merchandising within retail or FMCG.
• Proven ability to grow category sales, margins and overall commercial performance.
• Strong analytical mindset with experience in sales forecasting, inventory management and demand planning.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
