Computing Teacher

About the role

The International School of Choueifat in Amman is hiring a Computing Teacher within its Teaching & Academics department. The teacher implements the SABIS curriculum and philosophy and uses the SABIS teaching methods to ensure students' success and help them reach their full potential.

Key responsibilities

• Teach classes using the provided lesson plans (and develop them where needed from the pacing charts) so that the SABIS point system can be used in the classroom.
• Mark exams in line with the schedule and materials provided by the department.
• Implement the SABIS Point System to create a conducive learning environment.
• Proctor exams and manage a proper test environment.
• Support low-performing students through guidance and motivation.
• Help prepare students for external exams by reviewing previous exams according to the structured revision schedule.
• Aid with duties such as testing students, substituting for absent teachers, organizing students for lunch and buses, and other administrative tasks assigned by school management.
• Take part in activity plans for events such as art, open houses and physical education, in coordination with the Student Life Coordinator.
• Attend training sessions when requested by school management and carry out other tasks delegated by management.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Education or equivalent.
• At least 1 year of teaching experience.
• English proficiency.
• Professional behaviour, ethical conduct, accountability and ownership.
• Excellent communication skills and a commitment to continuous learning.
