Construction Manager – Water & Irrigation Projects

About the role

Hussein Atieh & Sons Co. (HAE) is looking for two experienced Construction Managers to lead water supply, wastewater, irrigation or Treated Sewage Effluent (TSE) projects across the MENA region. You will be responsible for overseeing all civil construction activities, ensuring they meet design specifications, quality standards and project schedules.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, coordinate and monitor daily, weekly and monthly construction activities for pipeline and network works.
• Supervise excavation, bedding, pipe laying, testing, backfilling, reinstatement and related civil works.
• Lead multidisciplinary site teams, including engineers, supervisors, technicians and laborers.
• Ensure compliance with QA/QC, HSE and contractual requirements.
• Track progress, productivity, manpower, equipment and material usage; take corrective actions as needed.
• Collaborate with Project Manager, QA/QC, HSE, surveyors and other disciplines.
• Secure timely approval of shop drawings, method statements and inspection requests.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering.
• Minimum 12 years of professional experience, with at least 7 years in a senior construction‑manager role on water, wastewater, irrigation or TSE projects.
• Proven ability to manage large site teams, subcontractors and construction resources.
• Fluent in English and Arabic (written and spoken).

Required skills

• DI, HDPE and PVC pipe installation and associated fittings, valves and chambers.
• Pipeline and network construction techniques (excavation, bedding, testing, backfilling).
• Construction planning, scheduling and progress monitoring.
• QA/QC and HSE management.
• Reading and interpreting drawings, specifications, shop drawings and method statements.
• Proficiency with MS Project (advantage).
