Country Representative – OPT Mission (Amman)

About the role

The Country Representative will lead IMPACT’s OPT mission from Amman, overseeing humanitarian and development programmes in the occupied Palestinian territories. The position is a 24‑month fixed‑term role starting November 2026, requiring strategic leadership, coordination with local partners and travel across the region.

Key responsibilities

• Provide overall leadership and management of the OPT mission, ensuring alignment with IMPACT’s strategic objectives.
• Design, implement and monitor programmes in the Gaza Strip and West Bank, including data collection, analysis and evidence‑based decision making.
• Manage and develop a multidisciplinary team, fostering a results‑oriented and safety‑focused work environment.
• Represent IMPACT with donors, government authorities, NGOs and community stakeholders, advocating for humanitarian access and protection.
• Ensure compliance with organisational policies, financial regulations and reporting requirements.
• Coordinate travel and logistics for field operations in volatile contexts.

Required profile

• Extensive senior‑level experience in humanitarian or development programmes, preferably in conflict‑affected settings.
• Proven track record of leading multi‑country missions and managing diverse teams.
• Deep understanding of the political, security and socio‑economic dynamics of the occupied Palestinian territories.
• Strong analytical mindset and ability to translate data into actionable strategies.
• Willingness to travel frequently and work in challenging environments.
