Cyber Security Consultant

About the role

Dar, a founding member of the Sidara group, is seeking an experienced Cyber Security Consultant to design, implement and govern security solutions for its clients. You will work across multiple industries, helping organisations strengthen their security posture and comply with regulatory standards.

Key responsibilities

• Create tailored security policies, standards and procedures for client systems.
• Support proposal development and respond to technical RFPs.
• Perform cyber risk assessments, recommend mitigation strategies and provide advisory support during implementation.
• Draft governance documentation such as risk registers and RACI charts.
• Develop cybersecurity strategies, plans and roadmaps, and design security programs for digital initiatives.
• Assess security posture, review technical requirements, conduct secure design reviews and support DevSecOps and cloud assessments.
• Conduct gap analyses, compliance reviews and audits against standards (ISO, NCA, CIS, etc.) and apply hardening across cloud, containers and applications.
• Collaborate with developers on secure coding, embed security tools into CI/CD pipelines and define cybersecurity solutions for the ecosystem.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Engineering or a related field (preferred).
• Minimum 8 years of experience in cybersecurity consulting and DevSecOps.
• Strong communication skills to engage both technical and non‑technical audiences.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Project).

Required skills

• Secure SDLC and DevSecOps practices.
• Cloud security, container security (Docker, Kubernetes).
• CI/CD security tools (GitLab/GitHub, Jenkins, SonarQube).
• Static and dynamic code analysis tools (SAST, DAST).
• Security frameworks: ISO 27001, NIST CSF, NIST 800‑53, CIS Controls, CMMC, GDPR.
• Risk assessment and governance documentation.
