Data Analyst

About the role

The Data Analyst will support key business stakeholders by interpreting data, performing statistical analysis, and building reports and dashboards for population and public health services. The role focuses on improving healthcare quality and reducing costs through data‑driven insights.

Key responsibilities

• Interpret data, analyze results using statistical techniques and provide ongoing reports.
• Develop and implement databases, data collection systems and analytics to optimise statistical efficiency and quality.
• Acquire data from primary or secondary sources and support model building to uncover trends.
• Identify, analyse and interpret patterns in complex data sets to suggest quality improvements and cost reductions.
• Filter and clean data by reviewing reports and performance indicators to correct issues.
• Use visualization tools to present healthcare reports and findings.
• Work with management to prioritise business and information needs and locate new process‑improvement opportunities.
• Support the development of predictive models and machine‑learning algorithms.

Required profile

• Knowledge of statistics and experience with statistical packages such as Excel, SPSS or SAS.
• Strong analytical skills with high attention to detail and accuracy.
• Adept at writing queries, preparing reports and presenting findings.
• Ability to collect, organise, analyse and disseminate large amounts of information.
