Design Manager / Project Manager

About the role

WSP is seeking a Design Manager / Project Manager to lead multidisciplinary design projects across the Property & Buildings sector in the Middle East. Based in Amman, you will guide projects from concept through detailed design and construction support, ensuring technical excellence and client satisfaction.

Key responsibilities

• Lead end‑to‑end design process, from feasibility studies to tendering and construction coordination.
• Coordinate architecture, structural, MEP, ICT, and life‑safety teams, as well as internal and external sub‑consultants.
• Serve as primary client interface, managing scope, schedule, budget and expectations.
• Control project budgets across design stages and monitor sub‑consultant utilization.
• Champion design excellence, aligning with WSP’s global quality, digital and sustainability standards.
• Promote BIM, Revit, digital twins and other digital tools to improve collaboration.
• Manage risks, design changes, approvals and documentation.
• Support business development through proposals and client presentations.
• Mentor junior staff to strengthen technical and delivery capabilities.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Engineering or Project Management (Master’s preferred).
• 12+ years of experience in design and/or project management within the Property & Buildings sector.
• Proven track record delivering complex, multidisciplinary building projects.
• Strong understanding of regional authority standards and multidisciplinary coordination.
• Experience in a multinational design or engineering consultancy is highly desirable.

Required skills

• Proficiency with BIM and digital design tools (Revit, Navisworks, digital twins).
• Experience using project management software (Primavera, Power BI).
• Excellent stakeholder management, leadership and communication abilities.
