Director of Human Resources

About the role

The Director of Human Resources will lead the HR function for Hyatt Regency Aqaba Ayla, ensuring that people strategies align with the hotel’s corporate objectives and brand promise. This senior position reports to senior hotel leadership and represents HR on the hotel’s Leadership Committee.

Key responsibilities

• Align departmental activities with the corporate Human Resources strategy and implement hotel‑specific actions.
• Represent the HR function on the hotel’s Leadership Committee.
• Coordinate and monitor all activities of the Human Resources Division.
• Prepare and keep the HR Departmental Operations Manual up to date.
• Ensure compliance with company HR policies, procedures, and local labor legislation.
• Oversee associate welfare programmes and maintain competitive benefit offerings.
• Forward required HR forms to Regional Human Resources Specialists in a timely manner.
• Conduct regular departmental communication meetings.
• Recruit, train, and develop staff to deliver exceptional guest service.
• Provide professional, courteous service to internal customers and visitors.
• Support the hotel’s financial objectives through efficient manpower planning and cost‑effective HR practices.

Required profile

• Proven senior HR leadership experience, preferably within the hospitality or hotel sector.
• Strong knowledge of HR policies, procedures, and local Jordanian labor legislation.
• Demonstrated ability to align HR initiatives with overall business strategy.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Experience managing a team of HR professionals and overseeing welfare programmes.
