Director of Operations

About the role

The Operations Director provides executive leadership and oversight of all operational functions across handicrafts-home accessories (Jordan River Designs) and Food & Beverage. The role ensures operational excellence, efficiency, compliance, customer satisfaction and financial sustainability, and contributes directly to the JRF mandate of helping thousands of beneficiaries earn sustainable income. It covers production, restaurants, kitchens, catering, hospitality and supply chain.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute integrated operational strategies across Handicrafts and Food & Beverage, turning organizational objectives into measurable plans and targets
• Set short- and long-range operational goals, policies and procedures, and advise senior management on risks, capacity expansion and sustainability
• Drive scalable production models that increase beneficiary inclusion while keeping quality and efficiency
• Oversee daily production, restaurant and kitchen operations, catering and hospitality services, and supply chain operations
• Optimize use of human, financial and material resources and manage operational budgets, forecasts and expenditure controls
• Monitor cost structures, inventory and procurement, and set performance metrics for production efficiency, quality control and financial performance
• Ensure compliance with local and international regulations, international partnership standards (handicrafts) and HACCP/Halal standards (food and beverage)
• Lead audits, risk assessments and quality assurance systems, and promote a culture of safety and accountability
• Lead and develop operations teams, strengthen workforce planning and supervision, and foster collaboration and continuous improvement

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, ERP, Marketing or another related discipline
• 15+ years of proven experience
• Excellent command of English
