Document Controller

About the role

Omrania is looking for an experienced Document Controller to oversee and coordinate all project documentation across multiple engineering disciplines. The role ensures that every document, drawing, and correspondence is accurately managed, tracked, and archived in line with project procedures and client expectations.

Key responsibilities

• Manage incoming and outgoing project documents, drawings, reports, specifications, calculations, RFIs, submittals, correspondence and transmittals for architecture, structural, civil, mechanical, electrical, infrastructure, landscape and specialist consultants.
• Operate and maintain the Aconex document management system, including registration, numbering, uploading, distribution, workflow management, status tracking and archiving.
• Coordinate document submissions and review cycles between internal engineering teams, clients, sub‑consultants, contractors and other stakeholders.
• Ensure compliance with Omrania’s document control procedures, naming conventions, revision control requirements and client standards.
• Maintain accurate registers, drawing lists, correspondence logs, submission trackers, RFI logs and review status reports.
• Monitor workflow progress and follow up with discipline teams to guarantee timely reviews and responses.

Required profile

• Proven experience as a Document Controller within an engineering consultancy or construction environment.
• Strong knowledge of document control workflows and best practices.
• Hands‑on experience using Aconex for document registration, distribution, workflow management and archiving.
• Ability to ensure documentation meets project procedures and client requirements.
