Driver for IMF Resident Representative Office (Jordan)

About the role

The International Monetary Fund is seeking a qualified driver to support the Resident Representative office in Jordan. The role involves transporting senior staff, handling documents and goods, and ensuring the safe and efficient operation of IMF vehicles.

Key responsibilities

• Drive official IMF vehicles for the Head of Office and other authorized personnel.
• Transport documents, parcels and small purchases between the office and external institutions.
• Perform daily vehicle checks, routine maintenance, and keep the vehicle clean.
• Maintain a log of trips, mileage, fuel consumption and service records.
• Follow UN security regulations, ensure vehicle compliance, and handle accident procedures.
• Assist with vehicle registration, licensing for expatriate staff, and occasional reception or messenger duties.

Required profile

• Jordanian national or resident able to obtain a valid work permit.
• Valid driver’s licence for the vehicle class used by the IMF.
• Ability to work holidays, weekends or outside regular office hours as needed.
• Familiarity with local traffic rules and UN security guidelines.

Required skills

• Valid driver’s licence.
• Basic vehicle maintenance (oil checks, tire pressure, battery, brakes).
