E-Commerce Capacity Building Consultant for MSMEs

About the role

The consultancy will design and deliver a practical, multilingual training programme and toolkit that equips micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs), especially women‑led businesses, with the skills to adopt e‑commerce and AI‑enabled business tools. The role focuses on strengthening MSMEs’ capacity to formalise, manage and scale online operations, enhance digital marketing, and access international markets.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct ecosystem assessments across target countries to identify gaps and opportunities for MSMEs.
• Develop and adapt multilingual training materials, toolkits, and curricula on e‑commerce and AI‑enabled tools.
• Deliver training sessions, workshops, and coaching to MSME owners and staff.
• Engage with stakeholders, including government agencies, industry partners, and NGOs, to foster supportive policies.
• Monitor and evaluate the impact of training programmes and provide recommendations for policy dialogue.

Required profile

• Proven experience in capacity‑building, training, or consultancy for MSMEs.
• Familiarity with women‑led enterprises and gender‑inclusive development approaches.
• Strong understanding of e‑commerce ecosystems and AI‑enabled business solutions.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder‑engagement skills across diverse cultural contexts.
