ECL Manager

About the role

The ECL Manager will lead the delivery of IFRS 9 Expected Credit Loss calculations, credit analytics and regulatory reporting across Arab Bank Group entities, ensuring accuracy, quality and timely completion.

Key responsibilities

• Manage end‑to‑end delivery of IFRS 9 ECL calculations, credit analytics and regulatory reporting.
• Review ECL results, model outputs and monitor portfolio movements, supporting model validation and enhancement.
• Lead credit analytics projects and digital transformation initiatives within the Credit Analytics and ECL function.
• Gather business requirements, perform gap analysis and evaluate solution prototypes.
• Drive automation and process‑improvement initiatives to reduce manual effort.
• Develop and review complex SQL queries for data extraction, analysis, reconciliation and validation.
• Analyze large datasets to identify data quality issues, portfolio trends and key credit risk indicators.
• Coordinate data sourcing, validation, reconciliation and quality activities for IFRS 9 and regulatory reporting.
• Oversee development of credit dashboards, analytical reports and Power BI solutions.
• Manage UAT, system enhancements and implementation activities related to IFRS 9 and credit analytics platforms.

Required profile

• Graduate degree in Business, IT, Finance, Statistics or related field.
• 7‑8 years of experience in banking or consulting, covering IFRS 9, credit risk analytics or regulatory reporting.
• Strong background in credit and accounting, excellent interpersonal and presentation skills, and ability to work under pressure.
