Economic Recovery and Development (ERD) Manager

About the role

The International Rescue Committee (IRC) in Jordan is seeking an Economic Recovery and Development (ERD) Manager to lead its portfolio of market‑linked income generation, financial inclusion, and skills development programs. Reporting to the Head of Programs, the manager will shape and deliver initiatives that help refugees and vulnerable Jordanians build stable, sustainable livelihoods.

Key responsibilities

• Design, implement, and monitor ERD programs with a focus on market systems development, demand‑driven upskilling, and vocational/technical training.
• Develop and maintain strategic partnerships with the Vocational Training Center, Ministry of Youth, Greater Amman Municipality, financial service providers, and private‑sector actors.
• Ensure program quality, compliance, and alignment with labor‑market demands.
• Coordinate with IRC teams in Syria and Lebanon to align regional strategies.
• Oversee data collection, analysis, and reporting to demonstrate impact.

Required profile

• Significant experience managing economic development or livelihood programs in humanitarian contexts.
• Proven ability to work with government agencies, NGOs, and private‑sector partners.
• Strong understanding of market‑based approaches, vocational training systems, and financial inclusion.
• Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder‑engagement skills.
