About the role
Albawaba is looking for an experienced Arabic News Editor in Chief to lead its newsroom and oversee its core publishing strategy. The role covers defining the editorial voice, managing editorial teams and upholding high standards of accuracy and compliance.
Key responsibilities
- Editorial direction: shape the tone, style and overall narrative strategy of the publication
- Team leadership: hire, mentor and manage writers and editors
- Quality control: enforce accuracy, ethical standards, fact-checking and legal compliance
Required profile
- Proven leadership experience as an Editor in Chief or senior editorial manager in digital news media
- Strong track record of team management and editorial strategy development
- Deep knowledge of digital media law, journalistic ethics and digital publishing
