About the role
The Editorial Assistant supports the daily operations of assigned journals or projects, ensuring a smooth editorial workflow from manuscript submission to acceptance. This entry‑level position works closely with Managing Editors, Senior Managing Editors, and Client Managers to deliver high‑quality service to authors, reviewers, and internal stakeholders.
Key responsibilities
- Process manuscripts and related correspondence using the journal’s submission system.
- Assist with email communications, reviewer invitations, and author queries.
- Support special projects and ad‑hoc tasks as directed by the Editorial Division.
- Maintain accurate records and follow established editorial guidelines.
- Escalate issues promptly and provide proactive updates to colleagues and managers.
Required profile
- Fluent written and spoken English at a professional level.
- Strong time‑management and organizational abilities.
- Critical thinking and decision‑making skills.
- Customer‑service orientation with a problem‑solving mindset.
- Bachelor’s degree in any discipline.
Required skills
- Familiarity with the peer‑review process from submission to acceptance.
- Basic proficiency with manuscript submission platforms.
