Education Data Systems & Evidence Consultant

About the role

This 15‑month consultancy aims to strengthen UNICEF’s education data systems and evidence generation to support data‑driven decision‑making across key education priorities.

Key responsibilities

• Improve the availability, quality and use of education data and strengthen linkages with Education Management Information Systems (EMIS).
• Support data integration, analysis and the development of evidence products for UNICEF’s education advocacy, programming and policy engagement.

Required profile

• Master’s degree in Education, Statistics or related social science disciplines.
• Minimum five years of professional experience in education data, statistics, monitoring, evaluation or research.
• Demonstrated experience working with EMIS or similar education data platforms and producing policy‑oriented analytical products.
• Experience collaborating with Ministries of Education, governments or international organisations.

Required skills

• Strong analytical and quantitative skills.
• Understanding of education data systems, EMIS and data lifecycle management.
• Ability to translate technical analysis into concise policy messages.
