Fab Academy Instructor (5-month contract)

About the role

TechWorks Amman Fab Lab is looking for a Fab Academy Instructor to deliver the 2021 Fab Academy curriculum on‑site in Amman, Jordan, from 20 January to 20 June 2021. The instructor will teach, monitor, and support students throughout the program and will also present six public masterclasses in their area of expertise.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct the Fab Academy courses and ensure curriculum delivery.
• Monitor student progress, provide guidance and technical assistance.
• Supervise lab activities and maintain a safe working environment.
• Organise and deliver six public masterclasses, preferably focused on 3D printing.
• Collaborate with lab staff to optimise equipment usage and resources.

Required profile

• Proven experience teaching or mentoring in digital fabrication or related fields.
• Familiarity with the Fab Academy curriculum and its hands‑on approach.
• Willingness to be physically present in Amman for the full five‑month period.
• Strong communication skills for both student support and public presentations.
