Finance Officer

About the role

Al Tamimi & Company is looking for a proactive Finance Officer to support day‑to‑day financial operations in Jordan. The role focuses on timely payments, accurate reconciliations, and effective management of Accounts Payable and Cash & Treasury activities while ensuring compliance with internal policies.

Key responsibilities

• Process supplier invoices, prepare payments, and support Accounts Payable and Cash & Treasury activities.
• Prepare monthly bank reconciliations, clear outstanding items, and maintain petty cash controls.
• Liaise with internal stakeholders (Lawyers, Secretaries, Administration, HR) on finance‑related matters.
• Coordinate with the Cash & Treasury team for accurate allocation of cheque and wire transfer receipts.
• Review expense claims, ensure approvals, and support month‑end and year‑end financial activities.
• Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and minimise cash transactions.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Commerce or a related field.
• 2‑4 years of experience in a Finance or Accounting role.
• Strong understanding of Accounts Payable, Treasury processes, and bank reconciliations.
• Good knowledge of accounting principles and financial controls.
• Excellent organisational skills, attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
• Experience using accounting or ERP systems.
