FinOps Manager

About the role

The FinOps Manager will lead cost‑optimization and financial governance for the bank’s IT infrastructure. Reporting to the CTO within the Center of Excellence, the role partners with IT, procurement and finance teams to maximise the return on technology investments.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute cost‑optimization strategies for software licences (Windows, IBM), hardware, virtualisation clusters and end‑user devices.
• Monitor, analyse and report on IT spending, identifying savings opportunities and recommending actions.
• Lead licence compliance, optimisation and vendor‑management initiatives to secure best pricing and usage models.
• Coordinate with IT operations, procurement and finance to align infrastructure investments with business and financial targets.
• Prepare regular performance reports on cost savings and provide recommendations for further optimisation.
• Support annual budgeting and forecasting for IT infrastructure.
• Establish policies and best practices for asset management, software usage and lifecycle cost control.
• Advise infrastructure teams on cost‑effective planning and resource utilisation.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Finance, Business Administration or a related field.
• Proven experience in IT financial management, cost optimisation or similar roles within a large organisation.
• Strong knowledge of IT infrastructure components, including software licensing, hardware, virtualisation and end‑user devices.
• Analytical skills with experience in budgeting, forecasting and financial analysis.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder‑management abilities.
