Fleet Management Consultant

About the role

The Fleet Management Consultant will lead the development of a standardised, agency‑wide fleet strategy for UNRWA. Based at the HQ in Amman, the consultant will design policies, dashboards and reporting tools to optimise fleet performance and sustainability.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain fleet policies, procedures, standards and operational guidelines, including acquisition, replacement and disposal plans.
• Establish performance dashboards, monitor utilisation, downtime, fuel efficiency and produce regular performance reports.
• Oversee preventive and corrective maintenance programmes, vehicle asset records and replacement planning.
• Set fuel‑management standards, analyse consumption variances and recommend cost‑reduction measures.
• Ensure compliance with safety, registration, insurance and road‑worthiness requirements and lead fleet audits.

Required profile

• First university degree in Mechanical Engineering, Business Administration, Supply Chain Management or a related field.
• Minimum six years of relevant experience in mechanical engineering, supply/transport operations and staff management.
• Very good written and spoken English and Arabic.

Required skills

• Knowledge of personal computer applications.
• Knowledge of automotive engineering.
