Freight & Commercial Manager – Levant & Turkey

About the role

The Regional Freight & Commercial Manager will lead profitable freight growth across Jordan, Iraq, Kurdistan, Palestine and Turkey. Acting as the subject‑matter expert for air, ocean, land and project logistics, you will partner with country managers and commercial teams to maximise revenue, profitability and market share.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute a regional freight growth strategy covering air, ocean and land services.
• Drive revenue, gross profit and volume targets while identifying new trade lanes and market segments.
• Lead commercial negotiations, tenders and contract discussions with key customers and strategic accounts.
• Build and maintain relationships with high‑value customers, acting as the regional escalation point for service issues.
• Design customised logistics solutions that meet customer requirements and profitability goals.
• Develop pricing strategies, approve special rates and manage procurement negotiations with airlines, shipping lines and trucking partners.
• Monitor market trends, competitor activity and freight margins, implementing corrective actions as needed.
• Support cross‑selling initiatives across freight, express, supply‑chain and e‑commerce portfolios.

Required profile

• Proven experience in freight, logistics or supply‑chain commercial management within the Levant or similar regions.
• Strong track record of achieving revenue and profit targets through business development and account management.
• Excellent negotiation skills and ability to manage complex contracts and pricing structures.
• Ability to work collaboratively with country managers, operations and global teams.
