Head Chef – Bakery & Café

About the role

Le Réservoir is seeking a passionate Head Chef to lead its bakery and café operations in the vibrant Jabal Al‑Weibdeh district of Amman. This role goes beyond traditional kitchen duties, offering the chance to shape the culinary identity of a creative hub that blends food, art, and community.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee daily kitchen and bakery operations, ensuring high‑quality output.
• Develop new recipes, seasonal menus, and signature products.
• Supervise, mentor, and train a collaborative kitchen team.
• Maintain consistency, food safety, hygiene, and operational standards.
• Plan production, manage inventory, and control food costs.
• Coordinate with suppliers and monitor purchasing.
• Collaborate on catering, private events, and special culinary experiences.
• Design and lead food‑related workshops and community activities.
• Work with founders on long‑term culinary vision and create chef’s specials, tasting events, pop‑ups, and limited‑edition menus.
• Partner with artists, designers, and local brands to develop unique presentation and packaging.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 years in a leadership role within a restaurant, café, bakery, or hospitality setting.
• Strong passion for food, creativity, and hospitality.
• Proven ability to lead and motivate kitchen teams.
• Excellent organizational and time‑management abilities.
• Solid understanding of food safety and kitchen operations.
• Fluent Arabic (mandatory) and good English (preferred).
