Health and Safety Officer

About the role

The Health and Safety Officer will work full‑time on‑site in Amman, ensuring a safe and healthy environment across production, installation, and office activities. You will lead risk assessments, safety audits and training initiatives to prevent accidents and protect employee well‑being.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct regular workplace inspections, risk assessments and safety audits.
• Develop, update and enforce health, safety and environmental policies in line with Jordanian regulations and company standards.
• Deliver safety trainings, toolbox talks and monitor the proper use of personal protective equipment.
• Investigate incidents and near‑misses, prepare detailed reports and recommend corrective actions.
• Collaborate with engineering, operations and HR teams to embed safety best practices into daily processes.

Required profile

• Proven experience implementing safety procedures in industrial, construction or manufacturing settings.
• Strong knowledge of occupational health, hazard identification, risk assessment and control measures.
• Familiarity with environmental health and safety regulations, waste handling and sustainable practices.
• Relevant certification such as NEBOSH or equivalent and awareness of national/international safety standards.
• Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Health, Safety Engineering or a related field.
