Health & Nutrition Coordinator – National (Aleppo/Damascus)

About the role

The Health & Nutrition Coordinator will lead the delivery of comprehensive primary health care and nutrition services for beneficiaries in Syria. Working under the Head of Office, the role ensures high‑quality implementation, coordination with partners, and compliance with donor requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Provide technical support and manage the establishment of an integrated nutrition component within existing service delivery points.
• Develop, review, and monitor detailed implementation plans for health and nutrition projects, ensuring alignment with Save the Children strategies and donor guidelines.
• Review partners’ narrative and financial reports and prepare materials for monthly BvA and award review meetings.
• Lead the preparation of timely, high‑quality donor reports that clearly demonstrate progress against project outputs.
• Oversee project implementation, monitor performance against log‑frames, and manage individual work plans.
• Coordinate with emergency programme teams to ensure an integrated approach and share lessons learned.
• Manage health and nutrition grant budgets, ensuring compliance with donor and SCI financial regulations.
• Supervise and guide staff and partners to achieve project targets.

Required profile

• Proven experience in health and nutrition programme management, including reproductive health, child health, and nutrition interventions (MIYCN, IYCF‑E, CMAM, MAMI).
• Strong knowledge of donor compliance, grant management, and budgeting processes.
• Ability to work collaboratively with partners, technical advisors, and senior management.
• Experience supervising staff and coordinating multi‑partner projects.
