Health Safety Environment Officer

About the role

The Health, Safety & Environment (HSE) Officer ensures the effective implementation of the company's HSE policies, procedures, and programs. The role maintains a safe and healthy work environment, ensures regulatory compliance, and promotes a strong safety culture across the organization.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate and ensure annual medical examinations for employees.
• Monitor compliance with HSE policies, procedures, and programs.
• Organize and coordinate first aid training programs.
• Conduct regular workplace inspections and safety audits across all departments.
• Oversee periodic inspection, testing, and maintenance of fire protection and alarm systems.
• Ensure work environments meet occupational health and safety requirements and communicate them to stakeholders.
• Identify, recommend, and maintain emergency response equipment, firefighting systems, and safety devices.
• Participate in the HSE Committee and support regular safety meetings.
• Investigate incidents, identify root causes, and recommend corrective and preventive actions.
• Perform other HSE‑related duties as assigned by the supervisor.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in industrial engineering, occupational health & safety, environmental science, or a related field.
• Minimum of 1 year of experience in an HSE role.
• Knowledge of occupational health and safety regulations and best practices.
• Good communication, reporting, and organizational abilities.
• Experience in the pharmaceutical industry is an advantage.
