Housekeeping Manager

About the role

The Housekeeping Manager oversees daily shift operations for housekeeping, recreation/health club, and laundry (if applicable) at a hotel property in Amman. The role ensures guest rooms, public areas, and employee zones are clean, well‑maintained, and meet the brand’s standards while supporting guest and employee satisfaction and adhering to the operating budget.

Key responsibilities

• Direct and supervise housekeeping staff, ensuring timely communication of room status to the Front Desk.
• Conduct daily inspections of guest rooms and public spaces, assigning cleaning tasks based on occupancy and checkout lists.
• Manage inventory of supplies, verify adequate stock, and ensure staff have necessary equipment and uniforms.
• Develop and enforce inspection programs, monitor compliance with housekeeping policies, and implement corrective actions.
• Prepare and control departmental budgets, track expenses, and strive to meet or exceed financial targets.
• Train new room attendants, schedule staff according to business demand, and monitor attendance.
• Administer personnel policies, handle disciplinary procedures, and promote employee recognition programs.

Required profile

• High school diploma or GED with at least 2 years of housekeeping or related experience, OR a 2‑year degree in Hotel & Restaurant Management, Hospitality, Business Administration, or a related field (no experience required).
