HSE Manager

About the role

Haskoning is seeking an experienced HSE Manager to lead the Health, Safety and Environment Management System for multiple projects with the Arab Potash Corporation in Jordan. You will ensure compliance with Jordanian legislation, client requirements and international standards while promoting a Zero Harm culture.

Key responsibilities

• Lead implementation of HSE programmes across projects, ensuring compliance with legislation, APC rules and corporate standards.
• Conduct risk assessments, monitor workplace conditions, and enforce control measures.
• Manage HSE supervisors and contractor HSE activities, perform audits, safety observations and monitor contractor performance.
• Lead incident investigations, root‑cause analysis and ensure timely closure of corrective actions.
• Prepare HSE performance reports, dashboards and coordinate with regulatory authorities.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health & Safety, Environmental Science, Engineering or related field; NEBOSH IGC strongly preferred.
• Minimum 15 years of HSE experience, including leadership in complex operational environments.
• Strong knowledge of Jordanian HSE legislation and experience with logistics, infrastructure or high‑risk projects.
• Fluent in Arabic and English with excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.

Required skills

• ISO 45001 and ISO 14001 management system implementation.
• Risk assessment and incident investigation techniques.
• Emergency response planning and contractor HSE management.
• NEBOSH International General Certificate (IGC).
